Part-time sushi chef and Gymnastics coach. But the main cake is stunt performing. Went to stunt school at Seattle, Washington when I was 19yrs old. We learned how to fight for film, stunt fight falls, stair falls, high falls, fire burns, stunt driving, wires and more!
What inspired you to become a stunt performer?
it all started just by a dream of doing parkour on film. Was training parkour back in high school and decided instead fo graduating and go to college, why not do stunts instead?
What is your greatest skill as a stunt performer, is there a stunt behind it?
Greatest skill that anyone can apply to other areas in life as well not just stunts is, practicing core values such as diligence, mental toughness, grit, discipline, respect. The reason is these will make you not only a better stunt performer, but a better human altogether!
What is the best part about being a stunt performer?
Finally getting the right shot for film after practice of hours of failures to get one.
Tell your all-time favorite stunt story!
favorite stunt story was back when we were training at Seattle, with stunt cars. Are goal was to drift around cones or at cones and not hit them. We also drove in 4 cars at the same time in formation at high speeds, tailgating one another (almost touching!) The adrenaline was so high because we were scared of rolling over or crashing, but it was all too fun in the end!
What advice would you give other stunt performers?
strive to be a great human and in return you will be a great stunt performer. In the end most producers like to work with humans with great work ethic and core values , which in turn makes you a very valuable asset. You can be the greatest stunt performer, but if you are hard to work with, than you are missing out on so much opportunities.
Anything else you'd like to tell the community about?
Always be safe when training for stunts. Learn to minimize risk and invest in good protective gear. Performing stunts does not need to be as crazy as most individuals think. Producers only want a certain shot in film.
