Tell about yourself and your background! *
Grew up in Southeastern MA/RI area. I speak 3 languages fluently. I grew up doing extreme sports: skateboarding, surfing, backyard gymnastics, etc. While not doing stunts i work in safety on film, TV and Theme park sets. While not doing that I work in my pineapple patch with my kids
What inspired you to become a stunt performer?
Disney's Epic Stunt Show. When I first saw that show everything made sense to me. My skills, talents and likes.
What is your greatest skill as a stunt performer, is there a stunt behind it?
I would like to say my static trapeze or fights BUT my stunt mentor, Kim Kahana says its my ability to get people to follow my lead.
What is the best part about being a stunt performer?
So many things actually. The feeling of being the "cowboy' on set. Also if you have a great team on set then it is the camaraderie.
Tell your all-time favorite stunt story!
So many stories to tell. My path took to me to 53 countries.
What advice would you give other stunt performers?
Best advice i got was "When you're on set: look, listen, learn and don't run your mouth for the sake of running your mouth" and " Don't pigeonhole yourself as one thing/talent. If you're a fighter then learn driving, diving, rigging, etc....learn as much as you can because you get about 15 years tops as a stunt performer"
Anything else you'd like to tell the community about?
Stop being gatekeepers to the next generation. New generation listen to the older generation stunt pros who are willing to pass on the knowledge. Keep toxicity out of this amazing profession but also keep that thick skin on. It's a tough profession both mentally and physically
